We recently found ourselves in Brockley which is in South East London to fit some shutters for a new client. Unlike many of our jobs which are traditionally in the home, this was for a garden house located outside. The shutters were needed for a sliding door which opened onto decking. Our new shutters would not only look great on this building, but also add an extra layer of security while still give the client a highly useable and versatile solution. With the doors open the shutters are a great way to adjust the airflow and light while also allowing for privacy and blackout when required.
The shutters were fitted using a bi folding track system which has the shutters sitting on tracks which allows them to fold and fully open to the ends. When they are fully opened the shutters smartly stack together at 90 degree angles on the tracks. All the panels feature a silent (non visible) tilt rod system with 64mm louvres.
We build these shutters using material from our Fiji Range which is a hardwood suitable for all environments and can be installed in many different locations. The shutters have a natural water resistance which may be useful if the doors are open and it rains! The client chose to have the shutters finished in a custom colour of French Grey Pale with nickel hinges.
