A customer in Blackheath asked us to come up with a design of shutters which would work perfectly with their bathroom window. The client was looking to achieve maximum light into the room but also maintain full privacy when needed, important for bathroom areas.
The shutters were created using 4 shutter panels on a window over the sink area. Due to this area very likely to come into contact with moisture and water, we created the shutters using ABS coated panels from our Java Range. This is the range of shutters we tend to always use in bathrooms and kitchens so that the shutters can stand the test of time, no matter how much moisture and water come into contact with them!
We used 89mm louvres to gain maximum light entry when needed and a silent tilt rod system so that the louvres can be adjusted using touch. Another reason why the ABS panels and louvres are of major importance! The shutters have a hidden split half way up the panels so that the louvres can be adjusted separately at the top and bottom without a visible rail running across, creating a minimalistic look.
Using T-posts we also created these shutters so that the first and last panels can move fully independently of the middle panels. The look of these shutters helped to finish the look of this modern bathroom and works perfectly with the whole bathrooms décor, creating great lighting into the bathroom.
