A customer based in Enfield approached us looking for some café style shutters for a bay window in their living room. The bay window was square in style and offered a great window for us to design and install our shutters!
The client was looking to increase the lighting into the room while also having the option of lower level and some upper level privacy when needed. The great thing about our café style shutters is that we have them as tall as needed. In this case we installed them three quarters of the way up the window which also matched the window framing.
This solution worked out perfectly for our client, helping to bring light into the room while also maintain the privacy from the street outside of the window. The shutters can be fully adjusted as well as opened and closed, with a small section at the top always open for maximum light entry.
The shutters were created using our Antigua range, finished in a pure white paint which was the perfect match for the architraves, window sills and fascia’s. The colour worked perfectly as a contrast against the darker paint and carpet used in the room.
