These plantation shutters were designed and installed for a customers home to two forward facing bay windows. One room was the ground floor living room area and the first floor was being used as a home office by the client.
With both windows facing out onto a busy street the design was based around the need for privacy whilst also having a great level of adjustment for lighting. With bay windows you can really make the most out of the natural outside lighting from all angles. Because one of the rooms was being used as a home office it was crucial to provide the perfect mix so that work could be carried out in comfort at all times of the day or evening.
The shutters were made from MDF using our Antigua range of wood which makes a great looking solution at a better price point for the client. We created the shutters in full height style with mid rails two thirds of the way up the windows matching with the window lines behind.
Both shutters perfectly match in style which can be seen from inside and outside of the property, both finished in a lovely silk white with matching hinges and 63 mm louvres with hidden tilt rod systems. The customer was very impressed with the end results!
