We were recently in Hither Green which is located in South East London. The client was looking to have some Tier on Tier shutters to a bay window at the front of the property. The window looked out on to the street so one of the main concerns was having a window dressing which would help with privacy issues while still allowing great control of light entry into the home.
The customer wanted shutters which would coordinate with the modern décor of the room and help make the living room look even better both in the day time and at night. Our window shutters look fantastic at all times of the day fully open, closed or adjusted anywhere in between.
These shutters were made using a Tier on Tier style with the top tier located at the top as smaller sections with a larger bottom half. This allows the homeowners to adjust and fully open both sections independently depending on the privacy and light that they are trying to achieve throughout the day. These are our most flexible shutters when it comes to adjustments and are fast becoming one of the favourites among our customers.
The shutters feature 76mm louvres with centralised tilt rods over each panel for ease of adjustment over all the shutters. The tilt rods also helped achieve the look that the client wanted for their new shutters.
Fitted using a 4 sided insert L frame we made sure to fit these bespoke plantation shutters perfectly into the existing window recess using a MDF material for the shutters and finishing in a pure white paint. We also matched the hinges in the same colour so that everything blended in perfectly with the existing décor.
