A customer required us to fit some shutters to a bay window at their property in hampstead. The house was a lovely Victorian terraced house with a bay window perfect for some of our shutters! The client was looking for a window solution which would not only look stylish in the property but also something that is flexible and easy to use for the whole family.
After talking with our shutter experts, the client opted to have tier on tier shutters installed to the bay window. They not only make for a really attractive window dressing, but are also our most highly versatile shutters with many different ways of opening, closing and adjusting. The tier on tier style is much like the full height shutters we offer but with the added advantage of having a split half way down, allowing for far greater flexibility and adjustment.
With the tier in the shutters matching the lines of the existing bay window, these make for an impressive looking shutter from both inside and outside of the property. We created them using hardwood from our Fiji range and painted them in a lovely pure white in keeping with the room décor and windows behind.
We used 47mm louvres over the 8 panels which creates the perfect mixture of privacy and lighting for the client. Offset tilt rods perfectly placed on each shutter allow for quick and easy adjustment of the louvres and add to the classic look, which is perfect for a property of this type!
