Our team were in London in the area of Westminster to install some of our bespoke shutters for a penthouse. This install was in a row of period properties in central London, which suit our shutters fantastically!
The shutters were going in the living room area and had to be expertly designed and installed to the windows, made to measure and designed to fit with any older windows that may have slightly irregular shaping to them. The café style shutters were using ran half way up the windows creating a classic yet modern look.
Café style shutters were picked due to the fact that this penthouse was located higher up so there was no real privacy issues from the street below. Using this style allows for some privacy but with light able to fully stream in through the top. The customer also has curtains to the side which can be pulled across at any time!
The shutters are created from teak wood with thick 76mm louvres and a pure white finish. We used silent tilt rods to combine a modern touch with traditional looks for the clients property.
