We were in Brixton, South London to carry out this installation for a customer who required some rather large shutters for their home! The customer was looking to achieve a traditional look which would also help amplify the lighting from outside into all areas of the room. The shutters would also have the benefit of great privacy when needed.
All shutters used on this project were made in full height style with a mid rail situated just above the middle of the panels which was expertly measured so that the rail would match perfectly with the lines of the windows behind. Another reason why our bespoke design service and installation is really worth it.
Also by using a mid rail in this area of the shutters it allows for the top and bottom sections of louvres to be adjusted separately. This really helps on shutters of this size and allows for far more flexibility of light and privacy.
We created the shutters using Fiji material which is a lovely hardwood renowned for its rigidity and perfect for covering windows of this size. We added centralised tilt rods and 76mm louvres to help gain the traditional look that the customer required and finished them all in pure white with matching hinges.
