The owner of this Edwardian home was carrying out a renovation and wanted some of our shutters to finish off the property. They were to be one of the focus points of the new renovation both inside and outside of the house. We installed the shutters to all rooms of the home, crafting each set to perfectly match the windows no matter which room they were to be placed.
With help from our experts the client opted for tier on tier shutters, which are the most flexible window dressing we offer that allows for multiple adjustments to get the lighting and privacy just right at all time! They are much like our full height shutters but with a split in the middle which we perfectly designed to match the lines of the windows. We created the shutters from our Fiji Range.
Using narrow panels combined with a bifolding system the shutters can be easily moved to the side and out the way when required. The system also allows the shutters to feel less intrusive when opened which keeps the feeling of open space in each room.
We used small louvres and silent tilt rods over all the panels helping to create the perfect mix of tradition and modern styling which helped modernise the home without overshadowing the traditional feel of the rooms. The customer was very happy with the end result as his main objective was to create the perfect feeling of old and new with the shutters.
