We were recently asked to fit some of our bespoke shutters to the windows and doors of a Games Room Shed in West Dulwich in London! Our shutters have really helped to transform the look and feel of this once ordinary shed to make it the perfect games room, perfect for enjoying with mates and family!
The customer was looking for all the shed windows to be covered plus the door. Because we custom make all our shutters we were able to come up with a solution which allowed for the window and door shutters to completely match both in style and finish. Our door shutters allow for full access to the door handle and functionality which is exactly the same as the windows.
We used shutters from our Sumatra Range in full height for the windows and full height with a mid-rail on the door to help achieve better stability due to the height. We chose 89mm louvres complete with tilt rods for ease of operation and the shutters were then finished in French Oak Stain which matched the existing finish of the shed. We completed the shutters with antique brass hinges.
The shutters provide a useable and secure window dressing all year round for the shed owner. In the summer the shutters can be adjusted or fully opened to allow for light and airflow, while also acting as extra insulation in the colder months and great privacy whenever needed.
