This job took us to Highgate in London where we were asked to install some of our bespoke shutters to a new kitchen diner area of this property. The room had some great windows which were perfect for us to design shutters around, making the most out of the great natural lighting into the room.
The customer wanted to further improve the look of the newly renovated kitchen with some of our shutters and also have full control of light and privacy in each section of the room at different times throughout the day or night.
Picking to have shutters over other window dressings was a great choice for this room allowing for a fantastic finish which is also highly usable by all members of the family. The shutters we bespoke made helped create a more focal points in the room and seamlessly blended in with the existing décor and look.
We made the shutters using hardwood from our Fiji range which is naturally waterproof, perfect above the sink where they may come into contact with water and moisture over time. The bi folding shutters were picked after the client talked to one of our surveyors, who recommended them based on having the ability to easily fold them out the way, leaving unrestricted light and views of the garden.
Our fitters made great effort to keep the room tidy and free of damage as they carried out the work, also adding custom work to make sure that the new shutters could be freely opened and closed without hitting against areas such as the tap above the sink.
