This install was carried out for a previous customer of ours in Finsbury Park London, who has had shutters from us in the past. For this job they were looking for shutters to be installed to windows surrounding the staircase. The shutters were chosen as they are cleanly installed and don’t inhibit the space of the stairs like curtains and other dressings do. The shutters create a neat, modern feel to the area and help enhance lighting throughout the staircase.
We matched the look of the shutters to their existing shutters that they had installed by us. Our installers were on hand to carry out the installation which needed careful fitting in the narrow and tall window recesses.
We used 76mm louvres which are perfect on windows of this height and help to create a large light gap when opened. The shutters have a hidden tilt rod system which allows for them to be adjusted by simply touching one of the bottom louvres. This also helps to create a modern and minimalistic look.
The shutters were made from Fiji material and is a light weight yet rigid solution for windows of this height, helping not to put stress on the hinges of window area.
