A new client approached us looking for some shutters to be installed in the bedroom of their apartment in Muswell Hill, Haringey which is found in North London. The customer was looking for shutters that not only looked great set in their bay windows, but could control the light and privacy into the bedroom area.
Talking with the client and showing them our wide range of styles, finishes and materials they opted for our tier on tier shutters to get the most out of their bay window. These shutters are the most flexible option we offer allowing for the top and bottom sections to open and be adjusted completely separately.
The material used was taken from our Fiji Range which is a hardwood we use in many installations. This wood is light weight for moving but also rigid against the frames which guarantees the longevity of this kind of design of shutters when being opened and closed regulary.
The shutters were finished in a pure white paint featuring 64mm louvres and a silent tilt rod system which allows for adjustment without the need for visible rods. Installed, the shutters have created far more lighting and privacy into the room and really complement the existing look and feel of the apartment. The client was happy with the traditional yet minimalistic feel of the shutters in the room.
